Cinnamon Rolls Recipe


Cinnamon Rolls
Variation of Lion House Rolls
Yield: 15-18

2 Tablespoon yeast
2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup dry milk
1 egg
5-6 cups flour

1/4 cup butter
1- 1 1/2 cups sugar
Cinnamon

Activate the yeast in the warm water. Mix everything except the flour. Add half the flour and beat until smooth. Add the remaining flour. Mix well and let rise until double in size. 

Roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread with butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll the dough and cut into two inch slices. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Let rise again until almost double in size. 

Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Frosting
1/4 cup butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4- 1/2 cup milk
1 Tablespoon vanilla

Cream butter. Beat in remaining ingredients, adding milk slowly until you have a smooth thick frosting.
